Care and decalcifying
ATTENTION!
■
The permanent
fi
lter and the permanent
fi
lter holder are hot after use! Let them cool
off before removing them for cleaning.
■
Never submerge the device, the mains cord or the plug in water.
■
Prior to each cleaning, pull the plug out of the socket.
■
When cleaning, do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaners. They could damage
the surface.
1. Ensure that the device is switched off and disconnected from the power supply!
2. Take the permanent
fi

fi

fi

hot water and, if necessary, a small amount of mild detergent.
4. Then thoroughly dry all parts.
5. Place the permanent
fi
lter and the permanent
fi
lter holder back in the coffee maker
once they are completely dry.
6. When needed, wipe off the coffee maker with a damp cloth and dry it with a dry cloth.
Decalcifying
You should decalcify the device if water is only circulating very slowly or the device is
making more noise than usual during the brewing process. Use a commercially-availa-
ble decalci
fi
er for coffee makers for decalci
fi
cation.
1. Fill the water tank with a mixture of water and decalci
fi
er and turn the device on.
Consult the decalci
fi
er instruction manual to determine the correct ratio of water to
decalci
fi
er.
