Safety
• This battery charger may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and
knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Never let children play with the product. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried
out by children but only under adult supervision.
• The mains lead should be checked regularly. Never use the product if the mains
lead or plug is damaged.
• The mains lead must be changed if damaged. This is to prevent the risk of electric
shock or fire and should only be carried out by the manufacturer, authorised service
facility or a qualified tradesman.
• The battery charger is intended for indoor use only.
• Never attempt to open the battery.
• Never store a battery in direct sunlight or at temperatures above 40 °C.
• Only charge the battery when the ambient temperature is between 5 and 40 °C.
• Never expose the battery or charger to water.
Operation
The battery needs to be charged fully before initial use.
1. Remove the battery from the power tool by pressing the battery release button and
sliding the battery out. If the battery feels very warm, as after hard use, allow it to
cool properly before charging.
2. Connect the charger to a wall socket. The green LED will come on.
3. Insert the battery into the charger. Whilst the battery is charging, the green LED will
shine steadily and the red LED will flash once per second.
4. When the battery is fully charged, both the red and the green LEDs will shine steadily.
