21. Press YES/START to confirm the pre-set (if program lock on) / programmed
infusion parameters.
22. Pump prompts START INFUSION? Check infusion set is
attached to patient access device and the clamp is released.
Press YES/START to commence infusion
23. While running, the LCD displays infusion Time Remaining
(top line), Infusion Rate (main/central line) and the bottom
line will alternate between Syringe Size & Brand and
‘<<<<<Pump Delivering’ message to confirm the pump is
running if the LED indicator on the ON/OFF key has been
disabled to conserve battery life (see Change Set Up).
WARNING:
Do not remove a syringe from the pump while connected to a
patient. The infusion line must be disconnected or clamped before removing the
syringe to prevent free flow to the patient.
