POLYCARBONATE ROOF PANELS (continued)
With the panel cut to the required width and taped at

the bottom, return to the interior rafter (the first rafter
adjacent to the end rafter) and place a mark on the
H-channel and on the rafter in the same position. See
X's below.
These alignment marks are used to reattach the
H-channel in the same position on the rafter after it is
removed and attached to the polycarbonate panel.

Angle the utility blade and cut at the edge of a cell

to keep the blade running parallel with the panel

Move to the other side of the panel to repeat the

cut and to remove the excess panel.
Tape one end of the panel using one layer of

vent tape to cover the open cells. (This will be the
bottom of the panel position toward the ground.)
Remove the H-channel from the interior rafter and

attach it to the edge of the polycarbonate panel that
was trimmed to required width.
A flat bar or putty knife helps to spread the H-channel
edges to easily complete this step.
With the H-Channel in place, use a rubber mallet or the

rubber hammer handle (shown) to seat the H-Channel
tightly onto the panel edge flush with the panel bottom.
Seat the H-channel onto the edge of the panel.

NOT DAMAGE THE H-channel EDGE!
