Operation

9.1 Connection of the pressure line

The discharge line carries the liquid to be pumped from
the pump to the tapping point. To avoid flow losses, it is
recommended to use a pressure pipe with at least the
same diameter as the pressure connection of the pump.

Install the pressure pipe correctly on the pump and at the

respective tapping point.

Step 1: Mount the pressure line to the pressure line

connection.

Step 2: Fasten the connection cable to the pressure line

with cable ties.

Step 3: Before immersing the pump in wells and shafts,

fasten the enclosed cable to the cable lugs.

10 Operation

e mit Wasser füllen

DANGER!

The discharge line must be installed so that it cannot
exert mechanical forces or distortions on the pump.

DANGER!

When pumping dirty liquids, install a suction strainer
to protect the pump from sand and dirt.

DANGER!

Ensure that there is sufficient distance (30 cm) bet-
ween the suction pipe and the ground and banks to
avoid damage from sand or stones being sucked in.

DANGER!

Danger to life from electric shock!

There is a danger to life when in contact with live
components. Switched-on electrical components can
execute uncontrolled movements and cause serious
injuries.

-  Disconnect the mains plug before starting adjust-

ments on the water pump.

DANGER!

The device must be correctly installed before use. It
must also be checked that the filter elements are cor-
rectly mounted and efficient.
The unit should only be operated, assembled, repai-
red and transported on firm, level ground.
Ensure that the electrical data indicated on the motor
block matches the mains to which the water pump is
to be connected and that the mains plug of the water
pump matches the socket.

DANGER!

Always disconnect the power plug from the socket
before handling the switched off water pump.
Always check the supply cable for damage such as
cracks or signs of age. Replace the cable if neces-
sary before further use.
The replacement of a defective power cable must be
carried out by the technical service or by a qualified
electrician.
When using an extension cord, make sure that it is the
same size as the pump power cord and avoid contact
of the cord with liquids or conductive surfaces.
Pumps must not be operated against a closed outlet
or at a system operating pressure higher than the
pressure specified by the pump manufacturer.

DANGER!

Make sure that the pump is properly placed and
ready for operation. Check that all hose connections
are tightly screwed and undamaged.

DANGER!

The pump must be completely filled with water before
each start of the engine. A dry start of the pump can
lead to severe damage.

NOTE!

The submersible pump must not suck in solids. Sand
and other abrasive materials in the pumped medium
can destroy the submersible pump.
