Activating the Pump
NOTE:
The CB-1750/2500/3250 furnaces feature a priming switch which is mounted on the
right-hand side of the electrical junction box on the front of the furnace cabinet. The priming switch has
two positions:
•
PRIME (switch is in the UP position):
This is used only for pump priming. When the switch is
in the UP position, the pump circuit is activated for priming. The pump will continue to run as long
as the switch is in this position. The oil primary control circuit is de-activated so the burner cannot
run while the switch is in the UP position.
•
BURNER (switch is in the DOWN position):
This is used for normal burner operation.
When the switch is in the DOWN position, the burner controls the operation of the pump.
The pump will only run while the burner is running.
a. Refer to Figure 5B to locate the priming switch.
b. Turn the priming switch to the prime (UP) position. The pump should immediately start running.
