a thinner-soaked cloth,
replace and tighten
the nozzle again.
Care and maintenance
Never clean the paint or air nozzles with metal tools. These parts are precision
made and the slightest scratch can cause faulty spray patterns. If either of
them is damaged it needs to be replaced before a correct spray pattern can
be achieved.
1. Lower only the front part of the spray gun into the solvent (paint thinner),
until the paint connector is just covered. If the entire spray gun is lowered
into the solvent, there is a risk that the oil lubricating the moving parts
will also dissolve, causing them to wear out sooner and resulting in
heavier maneuvering. Moreover, solvent residue could clog the narrow air
channels inside the gun.
2. Use an appropriate brush and solvent to dislodge any dried paint.
3. Dry the outside of the spray gun with a cloth moistened with solvent.
4. Lubricate the paint needle packing regularly.
N.B.
Never use lubricants that contain silicone.
This can lead to defects in the finish.
Caution:
When first assembling the spray gun, do it by hand. That way you
minimise the chance of cross-threading. If you can’t screw the parts together
by hand: make sure that you have the right parts, unscrew them and try again.
Never use force when screwing parts together.
