Emergency Lowering of Upright
CAUTION
!
In the event the lift truck loses total power, it may be
necessary to use the following procedure to lower the lifting
mechanism and load to the ground. If the following
procedure must be followed, you must ensure that it is done
safely, and you must remain in a safe position where the
load or lifting mechanism can not strike you or anyone else.
Emergency lowering of upright :
with standard Manual Valv
e
1. Raise hood of truck and locate the emergency lowering valve on
the lift/lower section of the hydraulic valve.
2. Using a 4mm allen wrench loosen the valve 1/4 turn.
3. Operate the lift/lower lever carefully to lower the lift appropriately.
4. Tighten emergency lower valve and close the hood.
Emergency lowering of upright :
with optional EHL Valve
1. Raise hood of truck and locate the emergency lowering valve on
the EHL valve as indicated.
2. Using a 5mm allen wrench carefully loosen the valve allowing
the lift to be lowered to the desired height. Lower the upright/
load slowly and controlled.
3. Tighten emergency lowering valve and close the hood.
