STEP 1: INSTALLING THE FUSELAGE HATCH COVER
❑
Set the servo hatch cover into place and align it with the bottom of
the fuselage.
❑
Using a drill with a 1/16" diameter drill bit, drill two pilot holes through
the hatch cover for the mounting screws. Position each hole 1/2" in
from the fuselage sides and 3/16" in front of the back edge of the
hatch cover.
❑
Secure the servo hatch cover to the fuselage, using two M2 x 10mm
flange-head wood screws.
STEP 2: INSTALLING THE WINDSHIELD AND SIDE WINDOWS
❑
Using 220 grit sandpaper with a sanding block, carefully sand the
edges of the windshield smooth and straight.
❑
Position the windshield onto the fuselage and align it. When aligned
properly, the top edge of the windshield should be even with the top of
the wing mounting platform and the molded angles in the windshield
should fit around the angles in the front of the wing mounting platform.
The sides and base of the windshield should fit flush against the sides
and the curved top of the fuselage, too.
☞
Look from the sides and front of the fuselage to double-check that
the windshield is centered.
❑
When satisfied with the fit and alignment, carefully glue the windshield into place, using a thin layer of Pacer Formula 560
Canopy Glue. Remove any excess glue before it dries, using a paper towel soaked with
water
, and use pieces of masking tape to
hold the windshield in place until the glue fully cures.
❑
Using a pair of scissors, carefully cut out the windshield along the molded scribe line.
❑
Using a pair of scissors, carefully cut out the twelve individual
side windows, along the outermost scribe line.
❑
Using 220 grit sandpaper with a sanding block, carefully sand the
edges of each of the side windows smooth.
