STEP 1: INSTALLING YOUR THROTTLE SERVO
✦

✦
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THROTTLE PUSHROD SETUP FOR FOUR-STROKE ENGINES
✦
✦
✦
✦
✦
The hole in the firewall for the throttle pushrod wire has been predrilled from the factory. This hole is positioned to line up with the
throttle arm on most two-stroke engines within the specified size range. If you are using a four-stroke engine, the hole will not line
up with your engine's throttle arm. In this instance, you will need to redrill the throttle pushrod exit hole through the firewall and the
forward bulkhead to suit your engine.
❑
Install the rubber grommets and brass collets onto your throttle servo, making sure to install the collets with the flanges toward
the bottom of the servo.
❑
Remove the servo hatch cover from the bottom of the fuselage and set it aside for now.
STEP 2: INSTALLING THE THROTTLE PUSHROD WIRE AND ADJUSTABLE PUSHROD CONNECTOR
❑
Remove the throttle arm from your engine and install the Z-Bend in
the throttle pushrod wire into the outermost hole in the throttle arm.
☞
You may need to enlarge the hole in your engine's throttle arm, using
a 5/64" diameter drill bit, to accommodate the wire.
❑
Install the throttle servo into the cutout that's on the right side of the
fuselage, making sure to first drill 1/16" diameter pilot holes for the
mounting screws.

✦
IMPORTANT
✦
✦
✦
✦
✦
The servo output shaft should be toward the front
of the fuselage, as shown.
❑
Slide the plain end of the throttle pushrod wire into the hole in the
firewall, through the hole in the forward bulkhead, then through the hole
in the center bulkhead.
❑
Reinstall the throttle arm onto your engine.

✦
IMPORTANT
✦
✦
✦
✦
✦
The pushrod wire should line up closely with your
throttle arm, but you may still need to make a slight bend in the
pushrod wire so that it doesn't bind.
❑
Using a modeling knife, cut away all but one arm from a "4-point" servo horn.
❑
Enlarge the hole in the servo arm that is 9/16" out from the center of the servo arm, using a 5/64" diameter drill bit.
☞
Note that the servo is mounted through the bottom of the fuselage.
