ENGINE

CHECKING AND SETTING THE VALVE TIMING

Engine : CFA

Turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise in order to align the setting mark 

"a"

on the toothed wheel 

(0 degrees)

with those on the timing cover.

Make sure that the setting mark 

"a"

on the camshaft pulley is on top as indicated.

NOTE : 

Failing this, turn the crankshaft pulley by one full turn 

(360 degrees) 

to bring the setting

mark to the top.

Lock the crankshaft pulley, using tool

[1] 

and remove it.
