8. While holdin g down button 1, turn on the power.
The function test mode starts and “Self test” appears on the LCD.
9. Press button 3 (
) five times.
“Calibrate Label” appears on the LCD.
10. Press button 4 (
).
Paper sensor calibration starts.
11. “Onlin e” will appear on the LCD if paper sensor calibration is successful.
If paper sensor calibration fails, an error message will appear on the LCD.
To load black mark paper
1. Turn off the power.
2. Pull the cover open lever forward and open the paper cover.
3. Slid e the paper damp er stopp er in the direction indicated by arrow A and release the
paper damper lock.
Lock the paper damp er whenever you are using black mark la bel paper.
4. Load the paper roll so that the printab le side of the pape r is facing down.
5. Check to make sure the paper is abo ve the paper damper.
6. Adjust the paper position so no black mark is located under the black mark sensor.
7. Close the paper cover.
