Defining Dynamic NAT Rules
Follow these steps to define a dynamic NAT rule:
Select the Dynamic option in the row that corresponds to the interface for which you want to define a
dynamic NAT rule.
The Addresses Pool ID list and the Manage Pools button appear. 1.
To specify the global address pool to use for this dynamic NAT rules, select the corresponding ID value in
the Address Pool ID list. 2.
For each interface that you want to define a dynamic NAT rule, repeat Steps 1 and 2.
Alternatively, you can define
static NAT rules for an interface.
3.
To create the network or host that you have defined, click Finish. 4.
To commit your changes and activate the new host or networks, click Apply to PIX. 5.
Defining Static NAT Rules
Follow these steps to define a static NAT rule:
Select the Static option in the row that corresponds to the interface for which you want to define a static
NAT rule.
The IP address box and the Advanced button appear to the right of the Static option. 1.
To specify the IP address (translated address) that is exposed to the interface from which the network or
host's address is hidden, enter that IP address in the box to the right of the Static option. 2.
For each interface that you want to define a static NAT rule, repeat Steps 1 and 2.
Alternatively, you can define
dynamic NAT rules for an interface.
3.
To create the host or network that you have defined, click Finish. 4.
To commit your changes and activate the new host or networks, click Apply to PIX. 5.
