Removing and Installing Power Supply Modules
The chassis supports field-replaceable and hot-swappable AC-input and DC-input power supply modules.
You can install a mix of AC-input and DC-input modules in the chassis. This section describes how to remove
and install both kinds of modules
• In a redundant mode, you do not have to power down the switch to replace or upgrade the power supplies.
• In the combined mode, the module is still hot-swappable as long as the difference between total output
power and the total used power is greater than the capacity of the module being removed.
Total output power – Total used > Capacity of power supply module being removed.
