Antenna N-Type Connector Locations
The access point antenna N-type connectors are located on the bottom of models AIR-CAP1552H

K9
and on the top and bottom of model AIR-CAP1552SA/SD/WU
-x-
K9. The N-type connectors support the
Cisco Aironet Antennas listed in
Antenna Configurations, page 1-15
.

the antenna port locations viewed from the RF cover side. The supported antennas can be directly
attached to the access point or remotely located. When used in a Class 1, Zone 2, Division 2 hazardous
location, this equipment must be mounted with proper RF cables (if required) and electrical wiring
methods that comply with the governing electrical codes.
Adding the Access Point MAC Addresses to the Controller Filter List
Before installing your access points, configure your controller by adding the MAC addresses of the
access points to the filter list. MAC address filtering is enabled by default. This enables the controller to
respond to the listed access points. To add a MAC filter entry on the controller, follow these steps:
Step 1
Log into your controller using a web browser.
Step 2
Choose
SECURITY > MAC Filtering > New
.
Step 3
Enter the MAC address of the access point to the MAC Filter list; for example, 00:0B:91:21:3A:C7.
