1. If the image is noisy, press Menu > Size & Position > Pixel Phase and adjust the phase.
2. If blue color appears abnormal under the 64 Gray RGBW pattern, to complete a Phosphor Index
adjustment, enter Service mode .
See Adjusting the phosphor index on page 29.
3. If the color appears abnormal under the 256 Gray pattern, to do a Filter Index adjustment,
enter Service mode .
See Adjusting the color index on page 30.
Performing a light sensor calibration
Always perform the light sensor calibration after repairing the main board, the combiner or replacing
the light engine.
To perform the light sensor calibration, complete the steps below:
1. Remove the top cover.
See Removing the top cover on page 59.
2. To power on with the top cover removed, firmly hold the interlock switch on the left cover.
3. On the IR remote keypad, press Menu .
4. To execute the light sensor calibration, select 4. Light source > 5. Light sensor > Yes .
After the calibration has completed successfully, the display shows Light sensor calibration has
been done .
5. If the display shows Light sensor calibration fail , adjust the ABC adjustment gear using a M4
socket driver as indicated by the arrow.
6. Run the light sensor calibration again until the display shows Light sensor calibration has been
done .

4 Inspection items • Check if the color level is supersaturated.
• If the color level is supersaturated, the 64 Gray RGBW test pattern appears
blurred and fuzzy.
5 Criteria • Colors in 64 Gray RGBW test pattern appear sharp and clear.
• No noise is visible on the screen.
Warning! If not avoided, the following could result in death or serious injury.
• Do not stare into beam when the projector is on. The bright light may result in permanent eye
damage.
• This projector has a built-in Class 4 laser module. Never attempt to operate the projector without
all covers properly installed, unless instructed to do so in this manual for service.
