Performing a light sensor calibration
Always perform the light sensor calibration after repairing the main board, the combiner or replacing
the light engine.
To perform the light sensor
calibration, complete the steps below:
1. Remove the top cover.
2. To power on with the top cover removed, firmly hold the interlock switch on the left cover.
3. On the
IR remote keypad, press
Menu
.
4. To execute the light sensor calibration, select

After the calibration has completed successfully, the display shows

, adjust the ABC adjustment gear using a M4
socket driver as indicated by the arrow.

Inspection items
• Check if the color level is supersaturated.
• If the color level is supersaturated, the 64 Gray RGBW test pattern appears
blurred and fuzzy.

Criteria
• Colors in 64 Gray RGBW test pattern appear sharp and clear.
• No noise is visible on the screen.
Warning!
If not avoided, the following could result in death or serious injury.
• Do not stare into beam when the projector is on. The bright light may result in permanent eye
damage.
• This projector has a built-in Class 4 laser module. Never attempt to operate the projector without
all covers properly installed, unless instructed to do so in this manual for service.
