•  Device ON indicator: when the child unit (transmitter) is ON,

the power indicator LED is green.

NOTE: when the child unit (transmitter) is switched on, it

searches for the transmission channel which connects it to the
parent unit (receiver): the power indicator LED (5) will therefore
blink until it establishes a connection with the parent unit (re-
ceiver).
•  Correct wireless radio connection with the parent unit (receiver)

: if the child unit (transmitter) is correctly connected via radio to
the parent unit (receiver), the power indicator LED (5) will have
a fi xed green light. If however the child unit (transmitter) is not
able to establish a connection with the parent unit (receiver) or
the connection is lost, the green power indicator LED (5) will
blink twice every second.

•  Low alkaline battery indicator: if the alkaline batteries fi tted in

the child unit (transmitter) run low, the LED indicator (5) will
turn red.

•  Parent unit (receiver) rechargeable battery pack (13) charge sta-

tus indicator: when the parent unit (receiver) is positioned in the
slot (9) on the child unit (transmitter), the LED power indicator
(5) will turn orange. When the rechargeable battery pack on the
parent unit (receiver) runs low, the orange power indicator LED
(5) will start to blink until the recharging process commences.

When the rechargeable battery pack on the parent unit (receiver)
has been fully recharged, the orange power indicator LED (5) will
switch off if the child unit (receiver) is also OFF or will turn green
if the child unit (transmitter) is ON.

2.2 Parent Unit (receiver)

2.2.1 Power:

Powered by rechargeable battery pack (13)  NiMh 2x1.2V, 850
mAh AA type (included). The rechargeable battery pack (13) can
be recharged using the mains adaptor (1) or by inserting the par-
ent unit (receiver) into the slot (9) on the child unit (transmit-
ter).

NOTE: When the parent unit (receiver) is positioned in the

slot (9) on the child unit (transmitter), the integrated speaker (6)
on the parent unit (receiver) will be disabled.

Warning:

- The adaptor cables (1)  can strangle children and must be kept
out of their reach at all times
- Inspect the mains adaptors (1) periodically; if the power cable
or the plastic parts are damaged, do not use them and contact a
qualifi ed expert.
- Never leave the adaptors (1) connected to the mains when
the devices are not in use and/or not connected to the adaptors
themselves.

2.2.2 Instructions for use – Switching on and Sound
Adjustments

•  ON/OFF button on the parent unit (receiver) (2).
Press the ON/OFF button for around 3 seconds to turn the parent
unit (receiver) ON.   Do not press the button for longer otherwise
the parent unit (receiver) may not switch on.   Press it again for
around 3 seconds to turn the parent unit (receiver) OFF.
•   Volume adjustment buttons (+) and (-) (3).
Press the “+” button (3) once to increase the sound by one level.
Press and hold this button for more than 2 seconds to increase
the volume to the maximum level. Press the “-” button (3) once
to decrease the sound by one level. Press and hold this button for
more than 2 seconds to decrease the volume to the minimum
level.

The device has 10 volume levels. The default level of 5.
There device will beep once each time the volume level is in-
creased or decreased; When the volume reaches its maximum or
minimum level, it will beep twice.
The device stores the selected volume level in its memory, and
will retain it when switched on and off in the future.
•  Voice activation mode ON/OFF button    (7).
The Receiver  can operate in continual mode (OFF) or in voice ac-
tivation mode (ON). When the voice activation mode is selected
(ON), the speaker (6) on the parent unit (receiver) will only switch
on when it picks up sounds/noise from the child unit (transmit-
ter) microphone (6), and will then switch off if no sound/noise is
received for a short time. The voice activation mode allows the
baby monitor to operate in energy-saving mode.
The device stores the selected voice activation mode ON/OFF
setting in its memory, and will retain it when switched on and
off in the future.

• Portable option for the parent unit (receiver).
The parent unit (receiver) is fi tted with a belt clip (11) which
means you can carry it with you wherever you go.

2.2.3 Luminous and acoustic operating status indicator

The power indicator LED (5) provides four different types of in-
formation.
•  Device ON indicator: when the parent unit (receiver) is ON, the

power indicator LED (5) is green.

•  Correct wireless radio connection with the child unit (transmit-

ter): if the parent unit (receiver) is correctly connected via radio
to the child unit (transmitter), the power indicator LED (5) will
have a fi xed green light. If however the parent unit (receiver) is
not able to establish a connection with the child unit (transmit-
ter) or the connection is lost, the green power indicator LED (5)
will blink twice every second and after 15 seconds it will then
beep twice every second. As soon as the connection is resumed,
the beeping switches off and the power indicator LED turns
fi xed green again;

•  Rechargeable battery pack low battery indicator: the power in-

dicator LED (5) turns red and at the same time the device beeps
once a second. If you wish to continue using the device, it is
recommended to recharge the battery pack (13), otherwise the
device will stop working. The rechargeable battery pack can be
recharged using the mains adaptor (1) or by inserting the parent
unit (receiver) into the slot (9) on the child unit (transmitter)
which is connected to the mains.

When the recharging of the battery pack starts, the device will
stop beeping and the power indicator LED (5) will turn orange.
•  Rechargeable battery pack charge status: when recharging of

the rechargeable battery pack (13) commences (using the mains
adaptor (1) or by inserting the parent unit (receiver) into the slot
(9) on the  child unit (transmitter), the power indicator LED (5)
will turn orange. When the rechargeable battery pack (13) on
the parent unit (receiver) reaches minimum level, the orange
power indicator LED (5) will start to blink until the recharging
process recommences.

When the rechargeable battery pack (13) on the parent unit (re-
ceiver) has been fully recharged, the orange power indicator LED
(5) will switch off if the parent unit (receiver) has been recharged
while switched OFF, or will turn green if the parent unit (receiver)
has been recharged while switched ON.

Luminous LED indicator (4 orange LED) for noise/sound levels
received from the child unit. (4) The 4 LED indicate the intensity
of the sound/noise picked up by the microphone (6) on the child
unit (transmitter): they progressively light up from the bottom
towards the top, indicating the level of sound/noise from mini-
mum to maximum.
