BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the

general condition of the Leaf Eater/
Shredder. Check for loose screws,
misalignment or binding of moving
parts, cracked or broken parts, dam-
aged electrical wiring, and any other
condition that may affect its safe
operation.
CLEAN THE AIR FILTER ELEMENT

PERIODICALLY, ESPECIALLY
WHEN OPERATION PRODUCES
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF DUST:
The Air Filter Housing (13) is located
on the side of the Lower Housing (11)
by the ON/Off Switch (38). Remove
the Air Filter cover (15) to expose
the Air Filter Element (14). Remove
the Air Filter Element and rinse with
clean water and dry. Then replace
the Air Filter Element and Air Filter
Cover.
