Cutting Depth Adjustment
1.
Place the router on a flat surface.
2.
Loosen the Plunger Locking Lever (35).
3.
Push down on the router Handles (33) until the bit just touches the flat surface.
4.
Tighten the Plunger Locking Lever (35).
5.
Turn Depth Stop Turret (51) to select the desired Screw (52) height.
6.
Loosen the Lock Knob (44) holding the Depth Guide Indicator (42), and push down
until it rests on the adjustable Screw (52).
7.
Raise the Depth Guide Indicator (42) in fine increments to desired depth of cut as
read on the Scale Guide (14).
Note: The depth of cut is equal to the distance between the end of the Depth Guide
Indicator (42) and the top of the Screw (52) in the Depth Stop Turret (51).
8.
Loosen the Plunger Locking Lever (35) and lower router body until Depth Guide
Indicator (42) makes contact with the Screw (52). The depth of cut can now be seen.
Placing the Guide Ring and Dust Collector Tube
The Guide Ring (58) is used to make cuts in stock while following around a template. The
Dust Collector Tube (56) must be used with the Guide Ring.
1.
Loosen the Plunger Locking Lever (35) to raise the router to its upper position.
2.
Without a bit in the Collet (26), angle in the Dust Collection Tube (56) and place it on
the Base (47) seat. See photo below, left.
3.
Turn the router on its side and mount the Guide Ring (58) to the Plastic Seat (48) using
Screws (59). The flange projection of the Guide Ring faces outward as shown below,
right.
4.
Mount the router (straight) bit through the opening of the Guide Ring (58). Refer to
Installing Bits on the previous page. The bit must not touch the Guide Ring.
5.
Adjust the cutting depth, then place the Guide Ring against the edge of the template.
