Plug the Line Cord (64) into the electrical outlet.

Press and hold in the power Switch (12) to the On position.
Hold Handles firmly. Router may try to twist from the torque of turning it on. To lock the
Switch in the On position, press in on the Lock On button next to the Switch.
6.
Adjust Speed Control Wheel (2) to the desired cutting speed.
7.
Hold router with both hands when cutting.
8.
Allow bit to come to full speed, then slowly press down (plunge) on the Handles (33)
to engage material.
Do not attempt to cut more than 5/8 inch in a single pass. The router bit should always
be fed into the stock from left to right so as to match the clockwise rotation of the
router.
9.
When finished, release Switch to turn the router off.
If the Lock On button was engaged, press the Switch once to disengage the Lock On
button and turn the router off. Do not set the router down until the bit has stopped
turning.
INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING
WARNING! Make sure the power Switch (12) of the Plunge Router is in its “OFF”
position and that the tool is unplugged from the electrical outlet before performing any
inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.

Before each use, inspect the general condition of the Plunge Router. Check for loose
screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, damaged
electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. If
abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected by a qualified service
technician before further use. Do not use damaged equipment.
2.
Periodically recheck all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness.
3.
Store in a clean and dry location.
4.
Keep air vents clean of dirt and debris at all times.
Brush Replacement
Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly. Replace when they wear down to the limit
mark. Keep the carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders. Both identical carbon
brushes should be replaced at the same time.
1.
Press power Switch (12) to the Off position.
2.
Unplug the router from the electrical outlet.
3.
Remove Screws (3) and Top Cover (1) from the router. See photo on the next page.
4.
Remove Brush Holders (6) from both sides of the router.
