FOB HORN (Remote Audible Verification): This
feature allows the horn to chirp when the remote keyless
entry transmitter is used to lock or unlock the vehicle.
To customize remote audible verification
1. Scroll, using the SEEK up or down arrows, until
FOB HORN appears on the display.
2. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the
submenu. The current selection will have an asterisk
next to it. Scroll through the following options:
D OFF
-
Turns feature off.
D PARTIAL
-
One chirp for second, third, etc.
remote lock/no chirps for remote unlock.
D FULL
-
One chirp for each remote lock/two
chirps for each remote unlock.
3. With your preference displayed, press the DISP
button to select. A chime will be heard to verify the
new setting. The new selection will be displayed
with an asterisk for one second.
If your vehicle is equipped with the content
theft
-
deterrent system, the first time the remote unlock
is pressed three chirps will be heard to indicate an alarm
condition has occurred since last arming. See “Content
Theft
-
Deterrent System” in the Index.
ALARM (Content Theft Operation): This feature allows
the content theft
-
deterrent system to be turned on or off.
To customize the content theft
-
deterrent system:
1. Scroll, using the SEEK up or down arrows, until
ALARM appears on the display.
2. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the
submenu. The current selection will have an asterisk
next to it. Scroll through the following options:
D ALRM OFF
-
Turns feature off.
D ALRM ON
-
Turns feature on.
3. With your preference displayed, press the DISP
button to select. A chime will be heard to verify the
new setting. The new selection will be displayed
with an asterisk for one second.
4. Press the SEEK button until RETURN is displayed,
then press the DISP button to return to the
main menu.
