Primary air damper in open position (+).
Secondary air damper in open position (+).
Only use this brightness temporarily, to raise the temperature of the
premises after prolonged absence.

For  less  intense  heating,  use  a  lesser  load  –  one  or  two
logs.

Primary air damper in mid position.
Secondary air damper in mid position.
To maintain ambient temperature, for example.

For long-period heating, with low brightness use one or two
unsplit logs with diameters greater than 15 cm (position 1)
on a bed of almost dead embers.

Primary air damper in closed position (-).
Secondary air damper in closed position (-).
Use this brightness only temporarily, during the night for example.

To obtain the output values indicated on the insert specifications, during
testing we used:

Output test loads:

-

Loads of 4.1 kg of beech wood

-

Three 25cm-long logs

Air regulation systems:

-

Primary air: closed

-

Window-cleaning air: closed

-

Secondary air: open

Arrangement of load in combustion chamber.

6.5 – Restarting the fire

- For rapid lighting, restart the fire using wood slivers: load the appliance,
leaving the door slightly ajar for a few minutes if you wish to speed up the
procedure,  and  keeping  a  watch  on  things;  then  reclose  the  door  and
work the controls. This helps to speed up restarting, especially when the
wood is damp.

-  Make  changes  in  brightness  (from  low  to  normal,  for  example)  before
reloading, while embers are burning, to allow the appliance and the flue to
modify operation progressively.

- To avoid smoke and ash falls in the room during reloading, the following
precautions should be taken when opening the door:
