With the lever to the right: - = air closed
With the lever in the centre: + = air open
Note
: when the control sticks, air is open to the maximum. Do not try
and force it further left.
Once the fire is lit, add larger pieces of wood and close the door.
When the fire stabilises, close the primary air inlet and control
combustion only with the secondary air regulation system. If air
input is too low or if you wish to rekindle the flames, use the primary
air regulation system as well. In the event of poor drawing, also due
to specific atmospheric conditions, leave both air regulation systems
open so as to obtain an intense fire that will increase insert
temperature and draught along with it.
- When the load of “wood slivers” is well alight, open the door, load
the appliance with the recommended fuel, and work the controls
until you obtain the desired power.
If you wish to increase draught, you can increase air input into the
combustion chamber by moving a deflector located in the inside upper part
immediately against the window.
Unscrew the screws holding it in place and move it to the desired position
to increase air input. This also serves to improve window cleanness in the
case of fireplaces with low draught or use of non-optimum quality wood (2
years’ storage and dampness less than 20%).
6.4.3 Continuous and intermittent operation
Global warming is a concern for preoccupies us all and, with respect for
the environment in mind, we advise “intermittent” operation of the
appliance.
Controlling the fire:
- The desired brightness is obtained by working the controls and selecting
a load in line with your needs:
•
For maximum heating, load the appliance with 3 logs with
diameters around 12 cm.
