Storage
The generator should be started at least once
every 14 days and allowed to run for at least
20 minutes. For longer term storage, please
follow these guidelines.
1.
Allow the engine to cool completely
before storage.
2.
Clean the generator according to the
instructions in the Maintenance section.
3.
Remove the maintenance cover. Drain
all fuel completely from the fuel line and
carburetor to prevent varnish build up.
4.
Turn the engine switch/fuel valve ON,
loosen the carburetor drain screw, and
drain the gasoline into a suitable
container.
5.
Remove the spark plug cap, then pull
the recoil grip 3 times to drain the
gasoline from the fuel pump.
6.
Change the engine oil.
7.
Remove the spark plug and pour about a
tablespoon of oil into the cylinder. Crank
the engine slowly to distribute the oil
and lubricate the cylinder.
8.
Reattach the spark plug.
