The Protector System (IR Beam) removal:
In some circumstances , The Garage Door Opener may appear to require The Protector SystemTM (IR Beams) upon first installation.
Symptoms to look for: When first powering the The Garage Door Opener, if the Up/Down Buttons/Arrows are blinking, you will need to “Un-Learn” (remove) the IR Beams from The Garage Door Opener memory.
If this occurs, please follow the process detailed below to remove the need for IR Beams for normal opener function and continue the normal installation steps.
If the Protector System (IR Beams) is installed and needs to be removed, the Opener will need to be reprogrammed as follows:
1. Remove the IR Beam wiring from the opener
2. Turn the power OFF for 5 seconds
3. Turn the Power ON for 5 seconds
4. Again turn the power OFF for 5 seconds
5. Turn the power back on and test the opener for normal operation.
