Safety instructions
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance. It contains important information for your
safety as well as operating and maintenance advice.
1.
Observe all safety instructions to avoid damage through improper use! Follow all warning notices on the
appliance.
2.
Keep this instruction manual for future use. Should this appliance be passed on to a third party, this instruction
manual must be included.
3.
Only use this appliance for its intended use. The appliance is not suitable for commercial use. This appliance is
only suitable for household use. Do not use the appliance outdoors or in the bathroom.
4.
No responsibility is accepted for damage resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.
5.
Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating
corresponds with the power supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
6.
Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the appliance from the wall outlet and contact your supplier if it is
damaged.
7.
Danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to
be conducted by qualified personnel only.
8.
Regularly check the power plug and power cord for damage. A damaged power cord has to be replaced by the
manufacturer, its customer service department, or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid danger of
injury.
9.
Avoid damage to cords. Do not squeeze, bend, or scour on sharp edges. Keep away from hot surfaces and
open flames.
10.
Securely route the cords, if necessary that no unintentional pulling or tripping over it is possible.
11.
Do not pull the power plug out of the wall outlet by the power cord, and do not wrap the power cord around
the appliance.
12.
If an extension cord is used, its capacity needs to be suitable for the power consumed by the appliance.
13.
Warning! During cleaning or operation do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other
liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.
14.
Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the power plug
with wet hands.
15.
Connect the power plug with an easily reachable wall outlet so that in case of an emergency the appliance can
be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the wall outlet to completely switch off the appliance.
Use the power plug as the disconnect device which shall remain readily operable. The appliance is powered
automatically when connected to the power supply.
16.
Unplug from the wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
17.
Always turn the appliance off before disconnecting from the wall outlet.
18.
Under no circumstances open the appliance casing. Do not insert any foreign objects into the inside of the
casing.
19.
Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the
user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and accessories.
20.
Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Always operate the appliance on a level,
stable, clean and dry surface. Protect the appliance against heat, dust, and direct sunlight, moisture, dripping
and splashing water.
21.
Do not place heavy articles on top of the appliance. Do not place objects with open sources of fire, e.g. candles,
on top or beside the appliance. Do not place objects filled with water, e.g. vases on or near the appliance.
22.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or
mental capabilities, or by those who lack experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
and instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
23.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
24.
Only use the dispenser with a compatible beer keg.
25.
Do not remove the dispensing unit from the keg when pressurized.
26.
CO
2
cartridges are pressurized. Store the cartridges in a cool, dry place.
27.
Danger of explosion! Do not subject the CO
2
cartridges to temperatures above 50°C. Avoid storing them near
heat sources or direct sunlight.
28.
The CO
2
cartridges should be at room temperature when used.
29.
Keep CO
2
cartridges out of reach of children.
30.
Do not alter the CO
2
cartridge in any way.
31.
Danger of burns! Avoid skin contact with an iced over CO
2
cartridge.
32.
Only use 16g CO
2
cartridges with this dispenser.
33.
Only discard CO
2
cartridges when they are completely empty.
34.
The appliance is classified as protection class II and must not be connected to a protective ground.
