To Adjust The Tension Of The Saw Blade:
1.
CAUTION: Prior to performing this procedure, make sure the Power Switch
(part #36) is in its “STOP” position and that the Motor Cord (part #31) is
unplugged from its electrical power outlet. (See Figure B.)

NOTE:
Saw Blade (part #23) tension is set by a spring loaded tension mecha-
nism located on the Upper Wheel (part #19). Observe the Blade Tension Win-
dow, through which a Pointer (part #11) indicates the proper Saw Blade tension
(from 1/4” to 1” tension slack) for various widths of Saw Blades.

3.
To adjust the Saw Blade (#23) tension, turn the Handle Wheel (part #37) clock-
wise to tighten the tension and counterclockwise to loosen the tension.

To Adjust The Cutting Height:
1.
CAUTION: Prior to performing this procedure, make sure the Power Switch

NOTE:
The Upper Blade Guide Support (part #145) should always be set as
close to (but not touching) the workpiece as possible. To adjust the Upper Blade
Guide Support, loosen the Knob Screw (part #66). Turn the Handle Wheel
(part #158) clockwise to raise the Upper Blade Guide Support, or turn the Handle
Wheel counterclockwise to lower the Upper Blade Guide Support. Then, re-
tighten the Knob Screw to secure the Upper Blade Guide Support in position.
