specified at paragraph 3.3:
Non-corrosive, self-lubricating liquids with a flashpoint
of > 55 °C and a viscosity of < 20 cSt, e.g.
- Diesel fuel
- EL heating oil
The equipment is not intended for any other or
additional purpose.
i
Important!
Correct usage also includes compliance with all infor
-
mation in these operating instructions.
1.3 Improper usage

or death when operating in explosive atmospheres.
Do not use pump in environmental conditions where
there is a risk of explosion.
1. General
1.1 Safety
The pump is state of the art technology and complies
with approved technical safety regulations.
Each piece of equipment is tested for function and
safety before despatch.
The pump is safe to operate when used correctly.
Incorrect operation or misuse poses a dangerous risk to:
• the operator’s health
• assets
• the environment
The pump must be used only if it is in defect-free
technical condition and is the version delivered
by the manufacturer.
On safety grounds, modifications are not allowed
(except for the addition of manufacturer accessories).
Make sure that:
• you understand all the safety notices,
• the operator is informed about the notices and
understands them,
• the operating instructions are accessible.
1.1.1 Maintenance and monitoring
The pump must be regularly checked to ensure it is in a
safe condition, in particular:
• sight checks for leaks (connections and housings)
• function test
• inspection according to maintenance plan
(see section 9).
1.1.2 Use original parts
Please only use original parts provided or recommend-
ed by the manufacturer. Also take note of all safety and
usage information provided with these parts.
This applies to:
• spare and wearing parts
• parts for accessories
1.1.3 Using/maintaining the pump
To prevent danger, all persons involved with commis-
sioning operation, maintenance and servicing must:
• be suitably qualified,
• read these instructions thoroughly
• be assigned to operate the equipment,
• comply with the relevant safety at work regulations.
Warning!
Risk of injury when delivering liquids dangerous to
health (burning, poisoning etc.). Follow the safety data
sheet for the delivery medium. Wear suitable protective
clothing (eye protection, hand protection, breathing pro-
tection etc.) if there is any risk of contact.
Warning!
Possible environmental and material damage from leak-
ing delivery medium (leaks or improper use). If liquid
appears on the spigot, repair this immediately with a
suitable binding agent and according to instructions.
1.1.4 Residual risk
Warning!
Risk of injury from unexpected fluid leaks. The pump
has no safety switch to prevent it from restarting inde-
pendently after a power interruption. In the event of a
power loss, turn the pump OFF at the switch and turn it
ON again manually only when power is restored.
