3.  Use a screwdriver to push the dowel out of the grip. 

 

 

 

4.  Carefully take the grip halves and spring out of the jig. It may be easier to use two hands 

for this step. Use one hand to squeeze the grip and the other to palm over the assembly 
to contain all the parts as it is removed from the jig. 
 

System Alert

 

A fully installed spring experiences a high amount of stored energy. When removing the 
grip and spring from the jig, be sure to maintain pressure on both halves of the grip. 
Safety glasses are recommended when changing grip springs. 

 

5.  Remove the dowel from inside the jig 
6.  Place the desired spring into the groove in the top half of the grip.
