Using the RCS 

 

You must always remember that the Remote Control Software is precisely what it claims to be: 
Remote Control Software. It performs no audio processing. To process an audio stream you 
must route it via the DNS3000 itself using the AES/EBU or SPDIF I/O. You can do this, for 
example, by using an insert point within the Pro Tools mixer. 

Device Selector 

You can connect the DNS3000 to your Pro Tools system using an Ethernet cable, but until you 
link it to the Remote Control Software it will do nothing. 

The drop-down list on the plug-in displays all the units (both DNS2000 and DNS3000 models) 
that are currently connected to the system and, in the case of the DNS3000, registered using 
the Network Scanner. The list allows you to select which will be controlled by this instance of the 
Remote Control Software. 

The number(s) shown in brackets after the serial number in the Device Selection window 
indicate(s) which channel or channels of the DNS are controlled by this instance of the RCS.
