 9  REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

Any  maintenance  operation  must  be  carried  out  by
qualified personnel in compliance with standard  CEI

26-29 (IEC 60974-4).

9.1  POWER SOURCE AND TORCH MAINTENANCE

A proper maintenance both of the power source and the
torch, ensures an optimal performance and lengthen the
life of all its components, including consumables. There-
fore, we recommend to perform the operations listed in
the table below.
If, during an inspection, a highly worn component part
is found or one that is not working properly, contact the
CEBORA assistance service.

PERIOD

MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

Daily

• Check the correct pressure of
the feed gas.

Weekly

• Check the correct operating of
the generator fan;
• Clean torch threads and check

that there are no signs of corro-
sion or electrical discharge

Monthly

• Check the torch wire with re-
spect to cracking, abrasions or
losses;
• Check the power cord of the unit

about cracks or abrasions.

Every six months

• Clean the air filter every six

months, making sure that in the
tray E there is no trace of con-
densation;

• Replace the the torch O-ring,

ordering art.2002 kit for CP70C
torch.

For maintenance of the inner parts of the power source,

request the assistance of qualified personnel

. In par-

ticular, it is recommended to periodically perform the fol-
lowing operations.

• Clean the inside with compressed air (clean, dry and oil
free) to eliminate dust buildup. If possible, use a vacuum
cleaner;
• In particular, provide to clean  with compressed air the
IGBT module radiators and the diode assembly, directing
the air jet on them;
• Check that the electrical connections are tight and free
of overheating;
• Check the internal pneumatic circuit with regard to
cracks or leaks

.

Also check periodically the grounding system.

9.2  PRECAUTIONS AFTER REPAIRS.

After making repairs, take care to organize the wiring so
that there is secure insulation between the primary and
secondary sides of the machine.
Do not allow the wires or the gas pipes to come into con-
tact with moving parts or those that heat up during op-
eration.
Reassemble all clamps as they were on the original ma-
chine, to prevent a connection from occurring between
the primary and secondary circuits should a wire acci-
dentally break or be disconnected.
Also mount the screws with geared washers as on the
original machine.
