Digital Input
The STE Soft Starter has 4 digital inputs opto-isolated to 12Vdc.
You can activate the inputs with the internal supply (Terminal 4) or with an external source for example
the PLC.
6.5.1
Start/Stop (Terminal 17 and 18)
The start command active the relative digital output (terminal 13 and 14) connected to the main
contactor, if no alarm occurs, the STE Soft Starter give an output and the motor begin to turn.
The Stop command stop the STE Soft Starter and the output will return at zero following the mode set in
the parameter P033
-@/@
(see par. 9) When the motor is at speed zero the contact at the terminals 13
and 14 will be reopened and the main contactor goes down.
•
Normal Start/Stop Control
Normally Run and Stop are controlled by two
different logic inputs:
a start is obtained with pulse (0 to 1) on the START
Push Button, and a stop is obtained on opening the
STOP Input with pulse (1 to 0) on the STOP Push
Button.
On power-up or a manual fault reset or after a stop
command, the motor can only be powered by a
new pulse (0 to 1) on the START Push Button
