– Emergency Shutdown Systems
The Sentinal Emergency Shutdown System monitors engine oil level and temperature
and radiator coolant level, it will automatically shut down the engine if the engine oil
temperature is too high or the oil fluid level is too low. It will also shut down the engine.
In addition, manual emergency shutdowns are provided in the form of an E-stop button
on the main control panel and an air shut-off (Chalwyn) valve in the air intake system.
Pressing either of these buttons will result in immediate engine shutdown.
In the event
of an emergency resulting in vaporized fuel being present in the air use only the
emergency air shut-off (Chalwyn) valve.
