IMPORTANT:  Whenever the electric heater power supply is
downstream of the unit main disconnect switch (Figs. 9, 10
and 11) it is not permitted to install a heater of higher capacity
(kW) than indicated in tables 1 and 2, that are the standard
heaters.

C -  If the unit has been installed and an electric heater is to be

connected whose control power supply is not connected via
the main unit disconnect switch or if it is desirable to have an
independent power supply connect and protect it as follows:

Cables of adequate wire section

Fuses F1 with a current that complies with the heater
capacity (kW) installed.

A bipole or tripole disconnect switch, depending on
the voltage with the necessary current (A).

Locate a thermal-magnetic disconnect switch with
current (A) in accordance with tables 3 and 4 in the
electric heater control box, as described in chapter 5..

5 – ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Before the definitive installation of the electric heaters in the
unit a number of operations must be carried out.

5.1 – Power supply

The electric heater power supply is suitable for connection to
the unit control and power wiring box and to the general
disconnect switch of the unit.

The disconnect switch in the cooling only and heat pump units
is designed to support the current (A) of the components
connected to it.

Therefore the power supply of the electric heaters must be
connected downstream of the disconnect switch, as shown in
the unit wiring diagrams (see Figs. 9, 10 and 11).

Possible connections:
A -  If the electric heater has not been installed and must be

incorporated, fuses F1 and the power cable section (L1,
L, L3, N) are sufficient for the maximum power
consumption in cooling and heating modes.

B -  If the unit has been installed and supplied with the electric

heater incorporated please check if fuses F1 and the power
cable section (L1, L, L3, N) are sufficient for the new
power consumption. Remember that the unit will operate
in heating mode when the electric heater is installed.

Cooling only models = indoor fan plus electric heater
power consumption

Heat pump models = compressor plus indoor and outdoor
fan plus electric heater power consumption.
