Configuration

Assigning an IP Address to the BROADway System

To change the state of the BVI to “up”, use the following PS commands:

PS#

configure

PS(NSP-config)#

interface bvi 1

PS(NSP-config-bvi)#

no shutdown

display

the status of the BVI, use the following PS command:

PS#

show BVI status [bridge-group number]

If you specify an optional

[bridge-group number]

, only the BVI associated with the

[bridge-group number]

will be displayed. If you leave the

[bridge-group number]

field blank, all of the configured BVIs will be displayed.

The following sample output shows the
