• Battery fluid sulfuric contains acid which
may cause burns. Avoid fluid contact with
skin or clothes, immediately remove affected
clothes and clean the affected skin.
• Before checking or removing the battery,
always stop engine and turn "OFF" the main
switch.

7.6
POURING BATTERY FLUID
7.6.1
Battery Fluid
The gas generafed from the battery is flammable.
Keep open flames away from battery. Open
flames may cause battery explosion.

Inspection/Replenishment
1. Park machine on horizontal surface.
2. Visually check the battery fluid quantity and add fluid if
necessary by removing front cover and battery cap.
Proper battery fluid level : Between (upper and
lower) reference lines
Battery fluid : Distilled water
Charging
• Always remove the battery from the vehicle
before charging. Charging the battery on
vehicle may cause damage to electrical
parts or wiring harnesses.
• Connect cables to correct terminals of the
battery. Connecting to wrong terminal will
immediately blow the fuse and render the
battery not rechargeable.
• When disconnecting cables from the battery,
disconnect plus terminal first. If you reverse
the order, the battery may be shorted if a tool
touches any conductive part of the battery.
• When reinstalling the removed battery, cor-
rectly connect the plus and minus cables
and properly route and secure the cables
with the tightening bolt so that they will not
cause a short circuit with the other parts of
the vehicle body.
