Playback in Stand-Alone Mode (without network connection) Option 2
the stand-Alone Mode provides wireless music transmission between a (mobile) end device and the musicbox
Air 3 without the need of a WlAN router. please note that the Wi-Fi connection of your (mobile) end device is
occupied by the musicbox Air 3, in this mode. For example, no internet connection is possible.
Requirements:
- the musicbox Air 3 must be connected to the mains and switched on. the led ring must not be flashing
rapidly (2x per second) green or red
- An Apple device with ios 4.3.3 or later or a Mac/pc with itunes 10.2.2 or later
- A smartphone with Android operating system
Procedure:
1. press and hold the “poWer” button on the musicbox Air 3 until the led ring shows a constant red light.
the led ring must not be flashing rapidly green (2x per second), wait until the musicbox Air 3 is operational
2. Now connect your playback device as described in step 3+4 of chapter “Manual log-in to your WlAN
router” (starting on page 29)
3. the selection of musicbox Air 3 as playback device is done as described in the chapter “playback of music”
(starting on page 39)
to deactivate the stand-Alone Mode press and hold the “poWer” button until the led ring flashes or lights
up constantly green.
