c) Log-in using a PC with Windows XP
Attention:
Your PC must not be connected via a network cable and the WLAN adapter on your computer must
be activated in the operating system and on your hardware where necessary (switch at PC, if available).
3. select: “start > control panel > Network and internet connections > Network connections >
Wireless Network connection”. in the new window select “View Wireless Networks” (images 1–5)
4. in the new window select “musicbox Air 3 XXXXXX” as network and confirm with “connect”.
confirm the “Warning message” with “connect anyway” (image 6)
5. Now start your internet browser and enter the address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. the page shown
in image 7 should appear. this process may take a little time. under “language” select “english”
6. in the field “Wireless lAN settings > service set id (ssid)” select your home network (image 8)
7. enter your password into the box and click on “Apply”. in the new window click on “ok” to confirm.
the musicbox Air 3 will now make a “clicking sound” and connect to the network (images 9+10)
8. close your browser. this may cause an error message to be displayed, which you can ignore
your pc should re-connect automatically to your network. if that does not happen restore the connection
manually. A successful log-in is shown by a green light on the led ring of the musicbox Air 3. this process
may take a little time.
if the led ring continues to flash green the process has failed. to solve this problem please see the chapter
“troubleshooting” in the operating instructions of the musicbox Air 3, starting on page 35.
