List of Error Messages
Cannot find access point.
Cause 1
The SSID set differs from the SSID of the access point.
Remedy
Set the same SSID as the SSID of the access point. (See "Setting the SSID,"
on p. 2-8.)
Cause 2
The external antenna is not attached.
Remedy
Make sure to attach the external antenna.
Cause 3
The power of the access point is not ON.
Remedy
Turn ON the power of the access point.
Cause 4
Radio waves cannot reach the access point because it is located too far away
from the machine.
Remedy
Move the access point closer to the machine.
Cause 5
The standard used by the access point is IEEE802.11a (5 GHz).
Remedy
Use an access point that supports IEEE802.11b or IEEE802.11g.
Cause 6
Changes you have made to the SSID settings have not been saved to the
Wireless LAN Board.
Remedy
Refer to "Enabling the Settings," on p. 2-31 to enable the SSID settings.
Select WPA/WPA2+802.1X/EAP
Cause
The encryption and authentication method of the access point corresponding to
the specified SSID differs from the encryption and authentication method set on
the Security screen.
Remedy
Confirm the following:
•
Whether the encryption and authentication settings are correct. If WPA/
WPA2+802.1X/EAP is not set, set it. (See "Selecting the Encryption and
Authentication Method," on p. 2-10.)
•
Whether the same SSID as the SSID of the access point is set. (See "Setting
the SSID," on p. 2-8.)
•
Whether the access point settings are correct.
