The following is displayed for the encryption and authentication method.
[Security] on the Security screen automatically changes to the encryption and
authentication method set for the selected SSID.
•
WPA2: [Security] is set to 'WPA/WPA2+802.1X/EAP', and [Encryption
for WPA/WPA2] is set to 'Auto'.
•
WPA: [Security] is set to 'WPA/WPA+PSK', and [Encryption for WPA/WPA2] is
set to 'Auto'.
•
WEP: [Security] is set to 'WEP' (Static WEP). If Dynamic WEP is used on the
access point side, change it to '802.1X/EAP+WEP' (see "Selecting the
Encryption and Authentication Method," on p. 2-10).
•
NONE: [Security] is set to 'Off'.
IMPORTANT
A maximum of 10 SSIDs are displayed on the Access Point screen. If 11 or more
SSIDs are detected by the Wireless LAN Board, the 10 SSIDs with the strongest
signal strength are displayed, in order of signal strength.
NOTE
•
SSIDs may not be able to be detected for the following access points and
communication environments:
- Access points far away from the Wireless LAN Board
- Environments where a wall or partition exists between the access point and
the Wireless LAN Board
- Environments experiencing radio interference from amateur radio stations, etc.
- Access points whose SSID is set using characters other than ASCII characters
•
The value for the selected SSID is displayed in [Display/Enter SSID].
●
If you want to manually enter the SSID:
❑
Press [Display/Enter SSID]
➞
enter the SSID.
If the access point is set to block devices with an SSID set to "ANY" or is set to
"Stealth Mode," the Wireless LAN Board cannot detect its SSID. In this case,
enter the SSID manually in [Display/Enter SSID].
