 Adjust the position and length of the 
microphone so that the tip of the 
microphone is close to your mouth 
(approximately 5 7/8" (15 cm) away) when 
speaking into it. 

• 

 Adjust the microphone so that it points 
directly towards your mouth when speaking 
into it. 

• 

 Do not touch the microphone when you 
speak into it, as this may cause noise 
interference to enter the microphone, 
resulting in your voice not being correctly 
recognized. 

• 

 When using an external microphone, make 
sure to use a microphone with a three-prong 
plug. The device will not operate correctly 
if you use a microphone with a two-prong
