2.2 Installation Procedure
2.2.1 Check Items when Turning OFF the Main Power

Check that the main power switch is OFF.
1) Turn OFF the main power switch of the host machine.
2) Be sure that Control Panel Display and Main Power Lamp are both turned
OFF, and then disconnect the power plug.
2.2.2 Install the FAX Unit

1) Free the Reader Communication Cable and the Reader Power Supply Ca-
ble from the 2 Wire Saddles [1].
2) Remove the Left Rear Cover [2].
- 2 Protrusions [3]

3) Remove the Rear Upper Cover [1].
- 4 Screws (RS Tightening) [2]
- 3 Screws (TP) [3]

4) Remove the Face Cover [1]. (The Removed Face Cover and screw will not
be used.)
- 1 Screw [2]

5) Remove packing materials from the FAX Unit.
6) Install the FAX Unit [1].
- 2 Hooks [2]
- 4 Screws (TP; M3x6) [3]
- 2 Connectors [4]

7) Free the Speaker Cable [1] from the Wire Saddle [2], and close the Wire
Saddle.
