Important

Correcting Banding

Follow the procedure below if you see white stripes or dark color stripes 
appear when printing on plain paper.Before printing a printhead alignment 
pattern, make sure A4 or Letter size paper is loaded in Cassette 1.

Always load A4 or Letter size paper in Cassette 1. If paper is not loaded, the 
pattern will print on the platen and will smear ink inside the printer and onto other 
paper.

z

You do not need to select the media size on the operation panel. The paper is force 
fed from Cassette 1 to print the pattern.

Press the Power button. The printer switches on.

After a few seconds, the display reads “Ready”, and the Online lamp lights.

Press the Online button. The Online lamp goes off.

The printer is set offline.
