Print Head Cleaning starts when the P
POWER lamp starts blinking.
Do not perform any other operations until the P
Print Head Cleaning
finishes. This takes about 30 to 40 seconds.

When cleaning the print head of black ink tanks (for iP4000):
select B
Black to clean the Print Head of Black (BCI-3eBK), C
Color to
clean the Print Head of Black (BCI-6BK).
z
Clicking IInitial Check Items displays the items to be checked
before cleaning.
(5) When the confirmation message is displayed, click O
OK.
(6) Read the message and click P
Print Check Pattern to print the nozzle check pattern.
The nozzle check pattern is printed.

Check the Print Head condition with the printed nozzle check pattern.

The nozzle check pattern will not be printed correctly if there is not
enough ink. Replace the ink tank if the remaining amount of ink is
insufficient.
