15.2.1 Device Management Settings

The Device Management Settings mode is for customers who want to make fine
adjustments to the printed image. There is a special menu that must be activated
by an authorized service dealer. For more information on specifying the Device
Management Settings modes, see “Device Management Settings,” in the

Security e-Manual

included with the machine.

The following items can be adjusted through the Device Management Settings
menu:

Auto Gradation Adjustment

Wire Cleaning

Color Cast Correction

Adjust Fixing of Paper Sources

Adjust Fixing for Natural

Conditions

•

Adjust Fixing for Different Paper Weights

Adjust Perfect Binding Glue

IMPORTANT

•

A Full Auto Gradation Adjustment can only be performed if the optional Color

Image Reader-L1 is installed.

•

If a positive value ([+]) is set for the Color Cast Correction mode, the color cast

is removed, but the following image quality impacts may occur:

−

Color fading at the tail end of the printed image

−

Glossy grains

−

Fine lines are less distinguishable

•

The Adjust Perfect Binding Glue Application mode is only available if the

optional Perfect Binder-C1 is attached.

15.2.2 Paper Type Management Settings

The Paper Type Management Settings mode is for customers who want to
precisely adjust the image quality and front-to-back registration per irregular
paper type that is registered in the machine. There is a special menu that must
be activated by an authorized service dealer. For more information on specifying
the Paper Type Management Settings modes, see the

included with the machine.
