CAUTION

When removin g jammed paper or when in s pectin g the in s ide of the machine, do not
touch the fixin g unit and it s s urroundin gs , a s doin g s o may re s ult in burn s or
electrical s hock.

When removin g jammed paper or when in s pectin g the in s ide of the machine, do not
expo s e your s elf to the heat emitted from the fixin g unit and it s s urroundin gs for a
prolon g ed period of time. Doin g s o may re s ult in low temperature burn s , even if you
do not touch the fixin g unit and it s s urroundin gs directly.

When removin g jammed paper or replacin g the toner cartrid g e, take care not to allow
the toner to come into contact with your hand s or clothin g , a s thi s will dirty your
hand s or clothin g . If they become dirty, wa s h immediately with cold water. Wa s hin g
with warm water will s et the toner, and make it impo ss ible to remove the toner s tain s .

When removin g paper which ha s become jammed in s ide the machine, remove the
jammed paper g ently to prevent the toner on the paper from s catterin g and g ettin g
into your eye s or mouth. If the toner g et s into your eye s or mouth, wa s h immediately
with cold water and immediately con s ult a phy s ician.
•
When loadin g paper or removin g jammed ori g inal s or paper, take care not to cut your
hand s on the ed g e s of the ori g inal s or paper.
•
When removin g paper which ha s become jammed in s ide the machine, take care not
to cut your hand s or injure your s elf on the in s ide of the machine. If you cannot
remove the paper, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

When removin g a u s ed toner cartrid g e, remove the cartrid g e carefully to prevent the
toner from s catterin g and g ettin g into your eye s or mouth. If the toner g et s into your
eye s or mouth, wa s h immediately with cold water and immediately con s ult a
phy s ician.

Do not di s mantle the toner cartrid g e, a s doin g s o may cau s e the toner to fly out and
enter your eye s or mouth. If the toner g et s into your eye s or mouth, wa s h immediately
with cold water and immediately con s ult a phy s ician.
•
If toner e s cape s from the toner cartrid g e, make s ure not to in g e s t the toner or allow it
to directly touch your s kin. If toner touche s your s kin, wa s h it away with s oap and
water. If your s kin s till feel s irritated after wa s hin g it, or you in g e s t toner, con s ult a
doctor immediately.
