When wiping the pad, do not apply excessive force. If you push
too hard, the separation pad may peel off.

Reattach the retard roller and feeding roller.

Smoothly close the upper unit.
IMPORTANT
If paper jams or double feeds still occur frequently even after
cleaning the rollers, roller replacement may be necessary.
Contact your service representatives or Canon dealers.
Adjusting the Compression
If the roller mounted inside the scanner is worn, the scan images may
become slightly elongated vertically. In such cases, using the
[Reduction ratio adjustment] function may reduce the stretching.
The reduction ratio adjustment can be made with the Canon
imageFORMULA Driver Setting Tool.

Auto Power OFF Function
An auto power OFF function is built into the device. When the auto
power OFF function is ON, the power supply automatically turns OFF
after four hours have elapsed without a scan or other operation with
the scanner.
The auto power OFF function can be set from the User Mode or with
the Canon imageFORMULA Driver Setting Tool.

Power Plug
If you leave the power plug connected to the power outlet for a long
period of time, dust may accumulate at the power outlet, and cause a
fire or electrical shock. Clean them periodically.
