Use locking pliers to hold the joist against the truss frame under
the marked 16” centre(4x8) or pre-drilled hole(8x8).

For 4x8 docks add a #12x3/4” screw in the centre of the joist
under the 16” mark created in step 21. For 8x8 add a screw
to the pre-drilled holes every 16” on the truss. Repeat
Steps 22 & 23 for the opposite end of joist.

Place floats on the bottom of the dock. Ensure the floats are placed on the edge of the truss for the dock. Float should be square to the truss

frame (See image above).
