10. Completely fill the radiator.
11. Check the level in the coolant res-
ervoir and adjust level if
necessary.
12. Run engine at idle with the radiator
cap off. Slowly add additional cool-
ant if necessary.
13. At this point, wait until engine
reaches normal operating temper-
ature. Apply throttle two or three
times; then add coolant if required.
14. Install radiator cap. Inspect all con-
nections for leaks and check cool-
ant level in the reservoir.
15. Install access cover.

The muffler must be periodically
purged of accumulated carbon.

1. Set the transmission lever to the
FORWARD position and apply
parking brake.
2. Remove the spark arrester from
the muffler.

2. Muffler
1. Spark arrester
3. Remove carbon deposits from the
spark arrester using a brush.
N NO OT TE E::
Use a soft brush and be careful to
avoid damaging spark arrester.
4. Reinstall the spark arrester in
muffler.

1. Air injection valve
1. Disconnect hoses from air injection
valve.
2. Remove air injection valve from its
support.
3. While holding one half of the valve,
turn the other half counterclock-
wise to open it.
