Maintenance
Risk of electrical shock. DO NOT attempt to
diagnose or repair unless you are professionally
trained in power electronics measurement and troubleshooting
techniques. There are extremely dangerous voltage and power levels
present inside this unit. Disconnect power before servicing.
◆
Before each use, disassemble Air Nozzle, Torch Tip, Diffuser
Ring, and Electrode.
◆
Inspect these parts for cracks, obstructed holes, and slag
build-up. Remove slag and clear holes.
◆
Replace worn parts for best performance.
◆
Reassemble parts in reverse order of disassembly. Make sure
the Electrode is threaded in fully and tightened lightly. Make
sure the Diffuser Ring is seated properly on shoulder of the
torches brass body. Make sure the Torch Tip is seated in the
Diffuser Ring. Make sure the Air Nozzle is screwed down fully
and hand-tightened on Torch Body.
◆
Inspect all cables for tears of cracks. Replace if damaged.
◆
Inspect the unit for external damage and make sure nothing
is obstructing airflow through the louvers on the outer
panels.
